1
Anatomy for dancers. Workshop will be held by an invited expert Pavia Ambrosie.
Pavia’s lecture will focus on human anatomy and how having this basic knowledge will aid in teaching technique, correct stretching mechanisms, and an appropriate warm up and cool down.
It will explore the various components of the musculoskeletal system: skeleton, muscles, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Having this basic knowledge of the body’s internal framework will massively benefit any Belly Dance instructor’s already existing teaching style.
2
Teaching process by Julia Farid:
  • structure of classes;
  • teaching plan;
  • components of dance technique;
  • explanation of new material.

  • team-building;
  • how to criticize/to make a compliment;
  • ethics in the class;
  • conflict situations and ways to solve them;
  • dilemma: a student or a friend?
4
